Mortal Kombat: Costumed Fans Dance it Away in New York City
I know Mortal Kombat must have its own legion of fans. After all, the franchise has been around for quite a while now, even spawning some cheesy but fun movies along the way. If you go to an arcade, you will encounter its longs-standing titles. But wouldn’t you know that there are fans who go out of their way to dance crazy on New York streets?
Well, that is what a group of fans had been up to, starting up the year with an almost psychedelic high. I mean if you had been walking the streets of New York right at the same time they were dancing in their Mortal Kombat costumes, you might be wondering if you had been somehow drugged. Maybe just maybe, you were also thinking about just how you had been playing too much of Mortal Kombat or any other video game for that matter. No, you were not hallucinating! Don’t go write your New Year’s Resolution – of not playing another game again – in blood.
It is not the end of the world but Mortal Kombat fans are trying to enjoy every minute of it. Forget about shame for now. Just make every pavement your dance floor even if you are wearing the most hilarious Goro suit ever. There is also some sort of comical timing with the music and the dance. Who edited this thing anyway? Is this even the music to the great New York Mortal Kombat dance-off? I mean check out 4:22. What is that guy doing with his hat?! Oh yeah, wave that thing! So are you a super Mortal Kombat who would be willing to dance the streets in costume?
Just love Mortal Kombat? We’ll be waiting a long time for MK10.
