Mortal Kombat 9: Gears of War Character to be DLC?
A scintillating Twitter exchange between between Ed Boon of Netherrealm and Cliff Bleszinski of Epic Games seems to suggest that the Mortal Kombat game might include a Gears of War character.
Here is the tweet exchange between them:
Ed Boon: “I wudda wanted Marcus Fenix from Gears.”
Bleszinski: “Hit me up about that!”
This interesting piece of news does not confirm anything although fans of both games might get excited about it. In reply to a fan question, Boon admitted that having one of Epic’s Coalition of Ordered Governments army (COG) hero to appear in the latest entry is a good idea. This Microsoft-exclusive character would give Sony’s Kratos a fair fight. In the Gears of War series, Marcus Fenix is the bulky space marine who was awarded the COG’s highest military award, the Embry Star, because of his active participation during the Battle of Aspho Fields.
