Minecraft: Game Released Today!

Finally, a finished version of Minecraft will be out in a few hours. It has been on beta for about a year now and fans certainly would love to have their hands on a copy that offers more. Weeks leading to the official launch, developer Mojang had been updating the beta version several times. For the finished version, Notch is promising the same thing – lots of updates and expansions.

Creator Markus “Notch” Persson will be announcing the “finished” version’s finally going live this Friday.  The announcement is not just any announcement but also a celebration. Millions of fans have already enjoyed the beta version for quite awhile now and finally will be playing the full version.
Notch’s blog reads, “The last few weeks have been incredibly stressful and emotional in many ways, and I feel so relieved to finally have a finished version of Minecraft to release to the world on Friday”.

Then he went on to say,”But that doesn’t mean we’ll stop working on Minecraft! We’ll keep adding to the game just as we have so far, and we have many exciting plans for the next year… some of these will be announced fairly soon.” So it seems that Minecraft’s journey is not about to near its end this Friday. It is only actually beginning a new stage while on its full version. Of course, fans would love this. They have gotten used to getting lots of updates from Mojang. The game will also be released on Pocket Edition.  Next year, it will be available on Xbox Live Arcade.
