Just Dance 4: Goes all Gangnam Style

Just when you thought the the Korean internet sensation Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style’ couldn’t get any more ubiquitous, Ubisoft have announced that pop song along with it’s crazy dance routine will be the first song on Just Dance 4′s first piece of DLC. Yaaaaay, I hear you all cry, enthusiastically, or not.

Admittedly, Just Dance 4 is not really a title that I have ever played, nor I believe ever expressed a desire to play, not even while drunk, however that doesn’t stop me acting all jaded when I hear that Ubisoft are jumping on the Meme bandwagon. In Ubisoft’s defence, the dance video does lend itself to the IP very well, in fact, with many parody videos appearing on the internet, including the brilliant “Eton Style”, this may just be exactly what the Just Dance populace want to see.

I guess we will just have to wait until the sales figures are released for the DLC to find out if Ubisoft have backed a winning horse with this one. Psy himself is very excited about the prospect of o many dancing to his song. He expressly asked people to upload the videos of themselves dancing to Youtube.

Gangnam Style will be released as a downloadable song in November.
