Homefront: Homefront release date delayed by a week

THQ, the publisher of the upcoming guerrilla shooter game Homefront, has announced that Homefront’s release date will be pushed back by one week. Homefront features players as American guerrilla fighters fighting an insurrection against invading North Korean military forces. In addition to THQ’s announcement of the delayed release, it also announced that the game will include NVidia 3D Vision support so players of the PC version of the title can enjoy 3D gameplay.

It looks like there are a lot of advantages to playing the PC version of this game as opposed to the console versions. In addition to the 3D support mentioned above, PC players can also control all vehicles used by the player from the first person cockpit viewpoint as well as the standard 3rd person viewpoint. There’s also added helicopter control options.

The first person shooter will launch on March 15 instead of sharing a March 8 release date with Dragon Age 2. We suspect this move was made to make sure initial game sales don’t suffer due to competition with the simultaneous release of another big selling and anticipated franchise release like Dragon Age.
