Grand Theft Auto 5: Poll Pits it at the Top

Our friends over at CVG posted a very interesting little poll. They asked their readers what were their most anticipated games of this generation, and the results were not as clear cut as you might expect.

Although GTA 5 did come out top, it faced some very stiff competition from Hideo Kojima’s next offering Metal Gear Solid – Ground Zeroes. This is exciting stuff, and Rockstar should be a little worried that they are not as dominant as they like to think. Metal Gear Solid  - Ground Zeroes is looking rather, based on the E3 and PAX demos. But it could also be that we are more familiar with what we are to expect from Kojima and co, since their marketing has been a lot more open, that Rockstar’s latest trickle of ambiguous screenshots.

In third position was The Last of Us, and in fourth was Assassin’s Creed 3. Another surprise, and one that Ubisoft need to watch out for. Whether this poll is any indication of how the sales of these titles will go remains to be seen, as I for one will probably be buying all of them over the coming months.

So why not let us know what you think. Leave your most anticipated games of this generation in the comment section below.
