Gotham City Imposters: Users Report Reset Glitch
One of the worst things that can happen to a gamer is when you’ve overcome all sorts of hassles and beaten a particularly bad boss and you fail to save. You continue on your merry way exploring the game and looking forward to the next level after going through such challenges. Then the game resets. Talk about a surefire way to get screams of rage from players the world over.
Imagine all those precious hours lost. Imagine all the creative problem solving that needs to be retraced and recreated. What about special moves? This is the ordeal some players of the Batman-derived adventure game, Gotham City Impostors, are reporting. It appears that the same brutal battle testing Bruce Wayne subjects his body and mind to did not rub off on the quality control department of the developer of this game. According to a forum post made on the official forum for Gotham City Impostors, an admin relayed reports of a potential glitch. A staggering 63 pages of ticked off palyer responses ensued. That’s 63 pages of unhappy PS3 and Xbox 360 players. It’s bad enough to lose game progress, it is worse when you paid money to boost your xp and bought other enhancements for leveling. Game resets and you just lost that money.
According to another post, the problem occurs when players convert the trial version to the paid full version. Until developer Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment delivers a fix, you might want to hold off on unlocking your free version. If you already have a lot of stats, you might want to be very cautious so you don’t waste your progress.
