Game of Thrones: Pure Action Combat-Trailer Released

The television version of A Game of Thrones will be premiering its second season this coming April. Winter is coming, according to the Starks, but is it really? How about the RPG version of George R.R. Martin’s beloved fantasy book series? Is winter finally coming?

The good news is that the game looks pretty decent and gamers and George R.R. Martin fans alike are pretty happy and excited about having a go at the game.

In Westeros, whatever media you are looking at, the seasons do not change quickly. The summers and winters are years long. The summers are supposedly the times of peace and security. Even in the books and in the TV series, we see that even summers can be tainted by violence and treachery. The same thing goes when it comes to the video game, apparently. Winter may not come too soon but you will easily see rounds of violence and pure action that will make the game exciting all throughout. Well, at least this is the hope that has risen after seeing the trailer of the RPG.

The RPG is currently under development and has a Q1 2012 release date as of the moment. Brought to us by Cyanide, the game is very promising. It makes use of motion capture. The 3D models are pretty exquisite, just right for an epic fantasy series where the characters are well-developed and larger than life.

The game’s official website promises that it will be a role-playing game for grownups, paralleling the fact that the story is a fantasy for grownups. Anyway, A Song of Ice and Fire fans should rejoice. At least, the game has a 2012 release date and the television series will be airing again next month. We only have to wait a little further for the books to finally come to a conclusion.
