FIFA Soccer 12: Youtube Glitch Video Gets Millions of Hits
When the soccer simulation game FIFA Soccer 12 demo dropped recently, many game blogs and publications were quite enthusiastic in their reviews. Many embraced the title with open arms. Something may have been lost along the way or maybe they didn’t play the game long and hard enough. Judging from the glitch videos for FIFA Soccer 12 currently playing on Youtube, there’s quite an uproar regarding the glitches in the game. One video titled “FIFA 12 Demo Impact Engine Fail” has over 1.6 million views and it highlighted quite a number of physics engine glitches in FIFA Soccer 12. There are many glitches, true, but they aren’t so bad that FIFA 12 would share the same fate as NBA Elite 11.
NBA Elite 11′s glitch-filled videos led to the severe panning of the game. It was so bad that EA canned the title. Pretty sad way to end development. Because of that disastrous outing, publisher EA was sidelined out of this year’s NBA simulation market. What saved FIFA 12? While some of its physics engine elements have issues, overall the physics engine adds more to the game than it takes away. That is why many players still consider the game very solid. We don’t see it going the way of NBA Elite 11 bent knees and wild flopping action notwithstanding.
