Asia Game Show: Germany Dethroned as Home to World’s Biggest Games Show

Germany’s GamesCom event has been dethroned recently. To better understand the importance of this news, you should news that the event has hosted the largest public gaming show in the world for some years now. The GamesCom event has enjoyed more people attending its show compared to that of the former champion, the Tokyo Game Show. Now, however, both champion events will be eclipsed by the Asia Game Show. Last week, 472,000 people attended the show. This attendance is the total of over a period of four days. GamesCom total tally of attendees was 275,000 while Tokyo Game Show had over 222,000 people coming over.

It seems that there is a time for every event to shine. Maybe Germany’s time for being the go-to place in terms of games is now over. The Asia Game Show has now taken over but maybe not for long. There could be another venue preparing a much-better received event in the future. Can you guess which country will be hosting the next big one?

At the moment, the more important question is whether you have been to the Asia Game Show lately. Maybe it would be best, really, if you have also gone to Germany’s GamesCom event before going to the frequent champion, the Asia Game Show. It would be nice to be able to compare the differences and similarities. Why do people go to a certain video game industry-related show? Why do they prefer one over the other? To be able to answer this fairly, you should be able to go to as many events as you can to judge for yourself.
