Dishonored: Taking a Look at Immersion
The development team takes us through the inspiration for the city’s setting, the strange technologies which players will be free to explore and the game’s voice cast which has breathed life into Dunwall’s citizens.
Following on from last weeks ‘Inception’Dishonored developer documentary, Arkane Studios have released their ‘Immersion’ video which discusses the creative process that went into building the world and characters of Dunwall; the steampunk-inspired city which runs on a mixture of whale oil and mystique.
Among the famous names who have lent their voice talents to the steam-punk action game is Susan Sarandon, whose illustrious career began with the Rocky Horror picture show back in 1975. Though Harvey Smith was reluctant to divulge more about the character that she plays.
These developer diaries show the level of depth and detail that go into making such a unique IP. The city of Dunwall started life as Victorian London but it has developed into something a whole lot more. Let the creators bring the city to life and check out the video below.
The game is released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on 12th October.
