Dishonored: Animated Prequel Series from Bethesda

I love Dishonored, I love it more than say, a child of my own. I love it with every fibre of my being. Of all the games I got to have a fiddle around on at GamesCom Dishonored was the one that really stood out. I believe that Dishonored is the new IP we have been waiting for. For those who don’t know, Dishonored is like the beautiful love child between Hit Man and inFamous and yet at the same time it is something entirely different. The art work, for example, is breathtaking.

Offering something entirely new are publishers Bethesda. Today, the industry megaliths have treated fans to the first part of three animated shorts, that detail the history of the mythical city of Dunwall where all the actions takes place. The shorts are beautifully animated, and have  a really noir-esque feel. But at the same time they display the same steam punk overtones that make Dishonored such a unique idea in the first place.

The game is designed to give the player absolute control over how they achieve their objective. Personally, I don’t think I have ever played a game that offered as much flexibility as this offering from Texas based Arcane Studios. Why not check out the video above and tell us what you think?
