Dirt 3: New Developer Diary Released

Fans of the amazing rally and stunt driving game series Dirt are in for quite a visual feast with the release of the latest developers diary video for the latest installment in the franchise, Dirt 3. This release focuses on the reactions of test gamers. Even Ken Block, the star of that amazing Youtube Gymkana stunt driving video weighed in. “The realism of Dirt 3 is just amazing. The way the cars handle and look are just incredible”, says Block. No wonder the developer’s diary video is entitled “Keep it Real”–all the test drivers keep mentioning the amount of details, the physics and effects, and the realism.

Dirt 3 converts the physical data of actual rally car driving and converting it into physical feedback. Just judging from the reactions of legendary drivers Ken Block and Kris Meeke (2009 International Rally Champion), Dirt 3 appears to have nailed the realism angle hard. Not only is the game visually realistic–from terrain to car details to road features–the physical feedback earned experienced drivers’ rave reviews as well. We can’t wait until Dirt 3 is finally released. How many days are there it until May 24? This title looks like it will prove to be a genre changer!
