Dead or Alive 5: Gameplay Trailer Shows Ayane Vs. Hitomi

Team Ninja’s latest addition to the wonderful world of hard hitting fighting games, Dead or Alive 5 has a new gameplay trailer out. This latest update shows off the gameplay quality DOA 5 brings to the table.

Maybe it is just us, be we have the feeling that the cartoony art style of previous DOA titles is replaced with a new kind of realism – the kind of  in your-face fighting immediacy, but still over the top. The trailer features the characters Hitomi and Ayane duking it out. Set to blaring hard-hitting rock guitar riffs, we are treated to hard-hitting fighting moves featuring lots of twisting, bodies flying, overhead kicks, flying kicks, and roundhouse kicks. It’s enough to make fighting fans sit up and pay attention.

The gameplay features standard fighting game elements, strategic slow motion sequences, quick speed animation, and of course, awesome backgrounds. Check out the gameplay trailer and give us your thoughts in the comments section below.
