Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 3: Final Assault Video Released
Activision have released a video detailing the fourth and final DLC for Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 3. The reason that Activision are calling it a day is that they want to start drawing players attention to the next CoD game, Call of Duty – Black Ops 2. Yes people, that’s right, one year after their 60 dollar game, Activision are jumping ship and trying to pump yet more money out of their fans. Yes, I am a cynic.
The Final Assault DLC provides players with five new maps for the Multiplayer; Decommission, Off Shore, Gulch, Boardwalk, and Parish. Those who forked out for for Elite and use an Xbox 360 will be graced with the content of September 5th. The mere mortals will have to wait quite a while longer. About 4 weeks in fact.
If you take a look at the video you will see what sort of thing you can expect, frenetic action, and the same sort of maps just re-skinned. In my personal opinion it’s not really worth it, especially since by the time the majority of users get the DLC, by which I mean PC users and PS3 users combined, this is no slight on anyone of any particular platform affiliations, Black Ops 2 will be just around the corner. And despite how many people are complaining about Black Ops 2, let’s be honest, a lot of people will buy it. It’s just a fact. Enough people will buy Black Ops 2 to render Modern Warfare 3 irrelevant. The servers will become barren wastelands. But these are just my jaded ramblings on the subject.
