Battlefield 3: Rush Mode Absent in Upcoming DLC Maps
The upcoming DLC maps for first person shooter title Battlefield 3 will not come with Rush Mode. Rush Mode has many fans and it also has many haters. It can be very frustrating if your team doesn’t support you. However, it is an awesome game feature if you have a team that coordinates together well.
Regardless of where you stand on the Rush Mode feature, one thing is certain-it won’t appear in the upcoming DLC packages for Battlefield 3. The developers of Battlefield 3 decided not to use Rush Mode for the “Close Quarters” DLC and opted to make the maps highly destructible. Since there are no vehicles in the DLC and the map is smaller, the game’s Frostbite 2 engine focuses its resources on making the environment as destructible as possible. Some critics of Battlefield 3 have complained about the level of destructibility in the game.
It appears that “Close Quarters” will deliver tons of destructibility. “Close Quarters” features indoor fire fights and its setting will push players to take their game to the next level. How? Players have to find new ways to cover their angles, players have to use sound to find and track their opponents, and players have to keep their guard up since they are never safe.
