Battlefield 3: First Close Quarters Expansion Trailer Released

The first trailer for Battlefield 3 Close Quarters expansion has dropped and it looks awesome. What’s not to like? If you want your first person shooter action up close and personal, this is the expansion to look forward to. Did we mention the action gets quite intense? Closely integrating the award winning lighting, graphics, and sound elements that made Battlefield 3 a serial award winner, the Close Quarters expansion looks like a solid addition to Battlefield 3′s content collection. It is definitely not a rehashed thinly reskinned shallow content package aimed at milking a few bucks off a huge installed base of users.

As we’ve reported here before some game developers like Eat Sleep Play’s Jaffee have been talking up the concerns of some gamers regarding getting more game for their buck. This is a serious issue and developers who release expansions and DLCs must keep their value expectations in mind. Back to the trailer, the video shows the map Ziba Tower and if all the action in the expansion comes even mid way to the intensity and raw power of this map, the package is definitely worth shelling a few hard-earned recession era dollars for. The expansion is slated to drop this June. Lucky PS3 owners will get their mitts on it a week earlier.
