Battlefield 3: E3 Multiplayer gameplay video released
While much of the video game press corps has been treated to the amazing graphics of Battlefield 3, these have focused on the single player version of the game. Thankfully, E3 delivers once again with the release of multiplayer gameplay action courtesy of Battlefield 3′s, “Operation Metro” map.
The short trailer plays up the amazing lighting, explosion effects, realistic movement, and full environmental destructibility Battlefield 3 boasts. The video shows the player’s team, in “Rush” mode, engaging opponents in the streets of Paris and down to the Metro subway. The player character blasts through opponents, sees buildings blasted and enclosures ripped apart, and jump from deep under the city to above ground.
Released at the same time as the Operation Metro trailer is the Thunder Run Tank game play trailer. A singleplayer campaign, Thunder Run is no less impressive than Operation Metro given its amazing motion graphics and rendering. If full gameplay lives up to the snippet we saw in the Operation Metro multiplayer gameplayer trailer and the Thunder Run Tank trailer, expect Battlefield 3 to put up one tough fight against the marketing firepower of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. When it comes to sheer graphics elegance, technical execution, and fully engaging atmospheric effects, Battlefield 3 is going to be a tough title for its competitors to catch up to.
