Battlefield 3: Armored Kill Looking Great

DICE want to take us all on a rather splendid journey. The latest video from them details a flying journey through the Alborz Mountains, and really shows the calm before the storm.

Alborz Mountains is one of the new locations that will be included in the ‘Armored Kill’ DLC. Senior environment artist Andrew Hamilton is responsible for creating what DICE calls “one of our most beautiful maps ever”.

Hamilton says that he tends “to always lean more towards the natural elements including features such as terrain, vegetation and lighting. Working on the upcoming Battlefield 3 expansion Armored Kill – which covers many square kilometres of natural landscape – has been a very rewarding project due to each of the four levels dominantly organic nature”.

The clock is ticking for how long Battlefield 3 will remain relevant with the announcement that DICE will be bringing us a Battlefield 4 in the near future. Just like it’s rival Activison, the time will soon come when DICE will have to turn their attention away from the game in order to focus on the upcoming one. Battlefield 3: Armored Kill is out September 4 for PlayStation 3 Premium members / September 11 for Xbox 360+PC Premium members.
