Assassin’s Creed – Revelations: Ubisoft is Sorry for Online Service Switch Problems
Ubisoft is sorry that the online service switch that it has just performed has caused problems on some games that were originally given the stamp of security assurance. The games affected were not supposed to be inconvenienced by the maintenance check, which went awry.
Gamers who took to the publisher’s own forum revealed that they have trouble singing into the PC port for Driver – San Francisco. Another game that has been going through some trouble is Anno 2070. Driver – San Francisco was among the publisher’s new releases that had been given the assurance of not being affected by the maintenance. Ubisoft also named Assassin’s Creed – Revelations, The Settlers Online and Just Dance 3 as safe games.
Now, Ubisoft is apologizing for causing inconvenience on its gamers. It acknowledges the information that gamers have been posting on its official forums. The publisher provides assurance, this time to fix the problem and to keep gamers posted about its updates. This announcement is made via Twitter. You cannot really blame Ubisoft from switching servers. The move should switch content from third party servers to online in-house servers. It certainly would have been a good move with Ubisoft more in control if not for the problems that it has caused.
So what are the PC games that you won’t be able to play while Ubisoft is working on the server issue? These games include The Settlers 7, Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2, Uplay and Might & Magic – Heroes 6. Mac users, on the other hand, will miss the Settlers, Splinter Cell Conviction and Assassin’s Creed. The rest of the Ubisoft games may be affected in some way, according to the publisher.
