Assassin’s Creed 3: Gameplay Footage is Here!
It took dedicated fans just three day to unlock the promised trailer comprising of pre-alpha gameplay footage for Ubisoft’s upcoming title Assassin’s Creed 3. Nearly a million fans came together to earn this treat from Ubisoft bringing together all the strength of social media.
And they will not be disappointed. In the trailer we finally get to here Connor’s allegiances from his own mouth. he talks of feeling trapped between two worlds. The gameplay looked stunningly fluid, and the free-running opertunities look very promising. Connor is unhindered running through forests, climbing trees, or finding vantage points. It seems that nature is as much an ally as it is an enemy for Connor. He can use his surroundings for shelter and cover, but there is a point in the trailer where it looks like Connor may have to fight a bear. If that isn’t the very definition of cool then I don’t know what it. We also see Connor rubbing shoulders with historical figures and getting involved in some very life-like recreations of historical events. Boston is looking particularly good. For me, by far the most exciting thing about the trailer is the opportunity to have a good look at the kind of weapons that Connor will be using, and what fighting techniques he has at his disposal. It looks like the tomahawk will be integral to his fighting style in Assassin’s Creed 3. There is also a bit in the trailer when Connor hangs a redcoat from a tree. Tracking, and stalking seems to play an important role, as is sneaking and being silent. Don’t let that worry you if you are more of a vanguard style player.
There seemed to be plenty of melee style fighting too as Connor gets up close and personal in hands on combat. Anyway take a look at thetrailer for yourselves and tell us what we missed in the comment section below!
