Street Fighter X Tekken: Game-Inspired Short Film Cheesy But Fun
If you love browsing around the net for new games, taking in trailers for official games and even for fan-made short films then you may remember a teaser released back in November. Well, I am referring to a teaser trailer that has been released to give a taste of the Street Fighter 10 Tekken short film that has just been released recently.
The teaser promised back in November that the short film will be released on March 6, 2012. Well, that date has obviously arrived. The film has arrived, although a day late. But hey, the film makers were able to deliver almost on schedule. That is something else. Some may notice, however, that the short film kind of does not deliver on what has been promised in the teaser. Is that a good or a bad thing? You be the judge. Of course, you have to watch the trailer as well as the short film, which is almost ten minutes long (ok, about eight minutes but about ten minutes if you include all the credits afterwards), to be able to make comparisons.
Well, I think that I pretty much got what I was expecting from the short film. The short film is made with purely live action, which can be very difficult to do especially if you don’t have the production budget and actors of Hollywood. The actors did as best as they could, given the material. It was actually better than I could hope for, although it was still a bit on the cheesy side. The action sequences are pretty good, considering that this is a short film that does not benefit from a lot of expert fighting advice. The short film, however, could still obviously benefit from better production values. Still, it is a fun little film that fans could enjoy.
