Resident Evil – Revelations: Lots of goodies released for Gamescom
If you haven’t been getting enough information about Resident Evil – Revelations or feel you haven’t been getting enough promo materials, Gamescom has delivered a full frontal media blowout for Resident Evil fans. Gamescom witnessed the release of screen shots, trailers, and game play videos for the upcoming 3DS title.
Judging from the trailers and game play snippets released, Resident Evil – Revelations looks to be a formidable addition to the long running Resident Evil series, the survival horror game which already produced several game hits and even a movie. Resident Evil – Revelations packs quite a few features that would make many Resident Evil fans sit up and pay attention: ammo caps and over the shoulder camera view. This installment’s screen shots look awesome and I can’t wait to see it in its full 3DS three dimensional glory.
In terms of the Resident Evil canon, Resident Evil – Revelations takes place between Resident Evil 4 and 5′s storyline. This installment features the original protagonist pairing of Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. Resident Evil – Revelations is set for release in 2012. The trailer steps the viewer through the plot of the 3DS title – a virus that transforms healthy animals and organisms into aggressive monsters has been released to cause worldwide decimation and chaos. Redfield and Valentine join the fight against this onslaught.
