Kid Icarus – Uprising: The Game’s New Trailer Highlights Multiplayer Mode
Satoru Iwata has made a comment that may arouse the interest of some Smash Bros Brawl fans. He said that the Battle mode of Kid Icarus – Uprising makes him think of the fighting game. If you want to compare and contrast the two games, you may watch the multiplayer trailer for Uprising. See for yourself. The clip is a little over four minutes long. So, it should give you enough to ponder about. In Uprising, there are a couple of multiplayer gameplay modes: Free for all and Light Versus Dark.
If you play Free for All, there will be a maximum of six players fighting among each other for after all we are talking about an event in which one winner survies the whole thing. The one with the highest score after the game is finished wins. How do you earn the highest score, anyway? Well, you have to avoid getting killed and you also have to kill a large number of enemies. It is basically a game where you fend for yourself and take down as many enemies as you can. When you are playing Light Vs Dark, instead, there will be two teams with three members that will go head to head against each other. Each of the teams aims to fully exhaust the opposition’s health meter. The last surviving member of a team becomes an angel. The team that is able to defeat the other angel from the other team wins. Basically, it means that the team with the last surviving member wins.
The two modes can be played either locally or online with six players. You don’t really have a problem if you can’t gather six players for a match because CPU-controlled characters could fill in the blanks. Before starting the match, you can adjust the CPU difficulty, team handicaps and weapons. Uprising will be out in the UK this coming March 23, 2012.
