Angry Birds – Space: Pre-Launch Trailers Treat us to Lazer Bird and Red Bird
If you are a fan of the feathered pig-seeking avian missiles mobile app phenomenal game Angry Birds, you only need to look forward to March 22 to get your next fix of pig bashing bird-throwing fun. That’s because Angry Birds – Space is set to launch on that date. The next iteration of the ever-popular iOS-based puzzle game that has spilled over to Mac and PC versions is coming soon after several trailers and ads. You can tell from the increasing pace of news being released by the game’s developer Finnish firm Rovio.
One of the highlights of the pre-launch teaser campaign is the Nasa footage of astronauts on the moon playing with a giant slingshot. Another highlight is when Rovio got Don Pettit, a NASA Flight Engineer, to demo the upcoming game from the weightless far out reaches of the International Space Station. I don’t know about you but getting your game demo played above the earth 243 miles out in space is quite a marketing feat. Rovio’s partnership with NASA sure has produced some awesome marketing gems. Still, although we’ve gotten small snippets and bites of the upcoming game, as revealed in the trailer, there still aren’t enough details about the upcoming Android, iOS, Mac, and PC game. Thankfully, this week, Rovio has given us a peek at some of the actual birds in the game. First up is Red Bird.
He is the original angry bird from the game’s very first outing. Next, Rovio treats us to a whole new bird-Lazer Bird. Rovio says this bird is one of the fastest units in the game. Angry Birds Space is the third Angry Birds spin-off title.
