Angry Birds Space: Launch Trailer Shows Gameplay
Finally! Angry Birds Space has a launch trailer and it has boldly gone where no previous Angry Birds Space trailer has gone before-it includes actual game play. The latest iteration of cantankerous birds unleashing their hate of all things porcine hits desktops and mobile devices this week and developer Rovio clues us in on what to expect through a new trailer.
As we reported before, the game brings new bird types to the Angry Birds canon. One of these is the awesome albeit blocky Ice Bird. Angry Birds Space stands in contrast to previous game releases since those previous iterations were holiday-themed or were movie tie-ins. All though out those previous iterations, the gameplay for Angry Birds was quite standardized. Sure, we are treated to nice new puzzles, backgrounds, new birds, and settings but the game’s meat and potatoes, its gameplay, remained unchanged. Angry Birds Space changes all that. Its gameplay will be different from previous game iterations-thanks to the wonders of gravity and space. The launch trailer shows off the game’s new birds and the new gameplay.
Although Angry Birds has fallen of its top iOS app store perch, it would not be a surprise if Angry Birds Space shoots the Birds back to the top. Gravity’s effect on gameplay was a nice touch and should renew past players’ interest in the game app.
