Angry Birds Space: NASA Trailer Turns Some Heads
Assuming you are not the type to believe in email chainletters denying that the US ever made it to the moon, you may find the recently released ad for the very popular Angry Birds game hilariously ridiculous. Unless you’ve been hiding on the moon (or under a rock), you would know that the Angry Birds is an infectiously addicting game where you lob angry birds at pigs, monkeys, and other enemies perched on or located near buildings. This puzzle game has gone very viral ever since it was originally launched on the iPhone iOS. It has since made its way to the Android, the Mac, and the PC.
The game’s next installment, Angry Birds Space, set for release on March 22, comes with a very funny ad trailer that shows astronauts on the moon coordinating to work a slingshot to release a projectile. The game involves the player manipulating a slingshot with which to hurl an angry bird at its enemies. The ad video combined archival footage of NASA astronauts on the moon with the very recognizable Angry birds slingshot. The game’s developer, Rovio, partnered with NASA for the ad and to promote the game. One open question that remains about the game is whether it will be available on platforms it has previously skipped – PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox, and Wii.
Not to mention the handlheld consoles. Rovio won’t comment about this issue so make sure you have the right mobile or platform ready so you can play this game.
