Angry Birds Space: Unlock the Golden Egg Level With MTV’s ‘A Thin Line’
In support of MTV’s campaign against cyberbullying, dubbed “A Thin Line” Angry Birds developer Rovio has decided to help out in its own way. The “A Thin Line” campaign seeks to raise general awareness regarding the issues of cyberbullying and a crackdown on this despicable practice. Starting on March 22 – the release date for Angry Birds Space-, participants in the campaign’s anti-bullying program will be gifted with directions on how to unlock a secret level. The secret level is called Golden Egg. Rovio’s promotion will run until the close of April.
In addition to the unlock promotion, Rovio is helping out the campaign through the Angry Birds characters’ appearance in several public service anti-bullying announcements on MTV which will appear during the campaign period. MTV’s Jason Rzepka said the campaign was MTV’s idea after they discovered “that people spend 300 million minutes a day playing Angry Birds”. MTV wants to leverage the game’s reach to raise awareness about an important issue. Rzepka also said MTV was thrilled to partner with Rovio in such a novel way to get the message across. For its part, Rovio’s Andrew Stalbow said that the game firm is happy supporting MTV on the worthy cause of stopping online bullying.
