SSX: How to Maximize Your Trick Scores
If you are going to play Electronic Arts’ snowboarding sim, SSX, you need to know how you can maximize your trick points. Here are a few tips:
Trick Multiplier
Make sure that you max your trick multiplier out as quickly as you can. You can do this by landing some fancy tricks. However, do not perform the same tricks over and over again because the constant repetition can have a negative effect on the multiplier. Also, don’t go too slow and don’t go backwards.
Tricky State
When you filled out your tricky meter and get into the tricky state, you can perform over the top tricks. These tricks don’t just look good but are actually worth a lot of points.
Easy Spin/Flip
For easy points, you may want to perform a spin or flip. Just hold the left stick towards the direction in which you want to rotate. To make the rotations faster, start activating your spin or flip before you take off into the air. Flips can give you higher points.
Terrain Tricks
You have to know the terrain to maximize your trick scores. Different slopes and areas provide with different trick opportunities. Make sure you find the right areas to perform better tricks.
Helicopter Tricks
The helicopter that drops you off actually follows you down the slopes where you are riding and performing tricks. Once you occupy the same air space with the helicopter, you can use it to perform difficult and rare tricks that can earn you huge points.
