Final Fantasy 13-2: Unlock Stuff with Graviton Cores

In the main story of Final Fantasy 13-2, you need to hunt for five Graviton Cores. These are special Cores but they are pretty much hidden. You have to bring these Cores back to Alyssa. Anyway, you start the hunt after speaking to Alyssa when you are at the Research Facility. If you manage to deliver three cores, you unlock the Chaos Crystal, which is being sold at Chocolina’s shop. If you deliver all five, you activate an Academia gate that has been sealed. You will get the artefact needed to open the gate.

• You can find the Graviton Core Alpha at the New Bodum 003 AF. Go to Winding Way’s east side where you can find the Tidal Shallows. There, you can hunt for the core. The area, however, is locked unless you have the Giant’s Artefact. You must be equipped with the Moogle Hunt ability. You need to acquire this ability at Bresha Ruins 005 AF. You can find the core near the center of the map. It will be located in a small alcove, which is off to the side.

• You can find the Graviton Core Beta at Bresha Ruins 005 AF. First, you need to defeat Atlas in the main story so that you can access Chocobos. You need Chocobos to get to the small area Found near the Excavation Site’s entrance. This is by the Echoes of the Past area. You have to run up a ramp and then jump over a wall. You have to use Moogle Hunt ability to spot the Core.
