Alan Wake American’s Nightmare: Find Manuscripts at the Observatory
Xbox exclusive Alan Wake’s American Nightmare has a lot to offer gamers. Part of the side quests involve collecting manuscripts. The manuscripts are available to collect in three locations, the Rest stop, the observatory, and the drive in theatre. This guide will help you locate the manuscripts at the observatory.
Act I: The Scientist
Success: Keep on running and you will see a fire truck. The manuscript is located near its front.
Pressure: Run up a short flight of stairs, using a flashlight to light your way. Take the first left to see a rock where the manuscript is.
The Genesis of Mr Scratch: Run towards the observatory. By the front steps, you will find a manuscript.
Fighting the Taken: Run towards a couple of cars. The next manuscript is near a post by your right
The Spiders: Run towards a large container truck through some shrubs. The manuscript will be on the left side of the truck, on top of a rock.
Act II: Progress
The Darkness: Go past a hole in a barbed wired fence. You will find the manuscript on a rock directly in front of you.
Lost In the Dark Place: To the right of some rooms, there are rocks you can search to find the manuscript.
The Nature of Stories: Go inside the back of an open container truck to find the manuscript on the ground.
Cosmological Truths: Run towards some wooden crates. Enemies will start to appear to your right. The manuscript is on a crate.
Dr Meadows: Go to the back of the conservatory and find the manuscript.
The Taken: Near some gas tanks, on top of a box marked Fragile.
Act III: Completed
Everything Is as Real as Everything Else: Return to Dr. Meadows where you will find the manuscript to your left, near the observatory.

Drive-In Theater
Act I: The Curator
Bright Falls: Run past some sacks. Go the left of the barn. The manuscript is on the ground near a garbage bin.
Alice: Head towards an area with a wheelbarrow and some sacks. The manuscript is on top of a sack.
What Really Matters: In the drive-in theater, there are several cars parked. Go to a car with an open trunk. The manuscript is inside the trunk.
The Grenadier: Run past an open car towards some rocks, shrubs and cacti. The manuscript is somewhere there.
A Car In A Fight: Head to the right side of the big theater screen. You will find the manuscript on the rock.
Act II: Relapse
Survival In A Dark Place: Go inside a fence in area. You will find the manuscript on a small wooden table.
Equilibrium: Go near the water by the drive in theater. The manuscript is on the wooden railing facing the water.
The Doppelganger: Run towards the bottom of the drive in theater screen. On the ground, you will find the manuscript.
Mr Scratch’s Trap: Go to storage area where the sacks and barrels are. The manuscript is on the ground.
The Plan: On top of a large rock in the area with shrubs by the drive in area
The Dangers of Creation: While going to pick up the generator key, you will pass some sacks. The manuscript is on top of a sack.
