The Legend of Zelda – Skyward Sword: Unlocking Link’s Classic Hylian Shield
We all love the Zelda games. For most of us, the franchise sums up our childhoods, as much as Mario, or Sonic. Having watched the series develop over the years has been a fun exercise. The games are essentially the same in format, but as technology has advanced so has the games look.
But what about Link? Fans of the franchise have grown to love Link as he is. They have also gotten used to his character attributes, so a Link without his signature Hylian shield? Well it would be unthinkable. At first glance, it may seem that Nintendo have neglected to provide Link with his classic shield but it turns out that this in not the case. Unfortunately, although it is possible to unlock the shield, it is hidden behind one of the toughest challenges ever faced by Zelda fans!

To unlock Link’s Hylian shield you will have to defeat the first eight boss fights. Once you have done that, you are going to have head to Lanayru Gorge and accept the Boss Rush Challenge. Now you are going to have to beat the first eight bosses again, without dying! After that you will be presented with the Absurdly Sturdy Shield by the Thunder Dragon. This is Link’s classic Hylian shield.
