The Witcher 2 – Assassins of Kings: Guide to Romancing Ves

Ves is one of Vernon Roche’s Blue Stripes soldiers in fact she is the only female soldier in the unit. She is also one of the, ahem, lucky female characters that can be romantically involved with ladies man protagonist Geralt of Rivia. But only if he plays his cards right of course. Here is a quick walkthrough on guiding Geralt’s…

During the Ave Henselt side quest you will get an opportunity to put the moves on Ves. You start this side quest by talking to Proximo and securing a tournament place during the The Butcher of Cidaris side quest. If you keep beating your opponents during the tournament Ves will eventually challenge you herself. It is critical that you beat her (I mean, you have to show her whose boss right?) don’t under-estimate her though. She is a tough fight. The best way to beat her is to utilise the Yrden sign to immobilise her and take her from behind or the side (no pun intended).

If you win the fight you will be invited back to her quarters. This is when you need to turn on the charm, woo her, and tell her what she wants to hear. Do this and she will almost definitely sleep with you. I wonder if the developers of this game have actually ever met a real human woman?
