Sonic Generations: Trickstar Achievement Guide

You get the Trickstar (10G/Bronze) if you pull of seven or more trick combo or a six trick combo that ends in a finishing trick.

The Trickstar achievement is applicable only to Modern Sonic. Go to Green Hill Zone and Rooftop Run because they are the two locations where you can achieve many trick combos.
Note though that you will be chased by a giant fish in Green Hill Zone. It will follow you through a cave. The chase ends when Sonic jumps through a couple of red rings then a rainbow ring.
After jumping through the rainbow ring, simply go crazy and pull of as many tricks as possible using the left thumbstick.
As for Rooftop Run, find a good spot to pull all the tricks you need after you have started climbing the clock tower. Afterwards, jump off the roof.
