Final Fantasy 13-2: How to Unlock the First Two Paradox Endings

In Final Fantasy 13-2, there are paradox endings because of time travel. You have to know more about these endings because most of the additional content that Square Enix has been churning out is all about unlocking these paradox endings. The endings, which are in the form of cut scenes, are actually very tricky to unlock. They are also complicated enough to discover. If you don’t want to find yourself roaming around the virtual world not quite knowing what to do, you may need a little help.

By the way, you may get an Anomalous Trophy if you get to witness all paradox endings. Are you ready to at least know about a couple of these endings? First off, you have to own “Paradox Scope” as a Fragment Skill. This skill can be obtained at Serendipity, particularly from the Temptation Plaza’s Mystic. You do have to complete the main story first. You have to turn the “Paradox Scope” on if you want to activate alternate versions, and thus the Paradox Endings, as well.

Paradox Ending 1 – Fate and Freedom

The Historia Crux Location for this paradox ending is Episode 5 – The Void Beyond – New Bodhum. There are no special requirements. This paradox ending is actually the easiest to achieve. After completing the main story, you should attempt to get this first. While on a Live Trigger chat with Lightning, choose “Yes” as your answer. You will then unlock Fate and Freedom and 1,500 CP to boot. When you get back to the Historia Crux map, go back to the Hollow Seclusion. Make sure you no longer say “yes” to proceed with the story.

Paradox Ending 2 – A Giant Mistake

The Historia Crux Location for this paradox ending is the Bresha Ruins (005 AF). There are no special requirements. In the Bresha Ruins while you are playing the main game, you have to make sure you weaken Atlas first before completely defeating him. You may also choose to go back and fight and conquer his fully-powered self. If you defeat him, you get to unlock the ending.
