World of Warcraft – Mists of Pandaria: Guide to the Pandaren Race
Like it or love it you probably know that the Pandaren are the inhabitants of the new World of Warcraft extension Mists of Pandaria. Since you are looking at guides, I’m going to assume that you are at least curious about the expansion, though of course, it doesn’t need to be said that a lot of hard-core World of Warcraft fans were more that a little surprised when the Pandaren were trailered. The aime of this short text is to give you a quick run down on the Pandaren race.
The Pandaren are an ancient race that pre-dates the civilisation of mankind. As a race they live in communities and rarely wander abroad. Those that do have to travel across Azeroth’s Ocean on the back of Shen-Zin Su (a giant turtle). This is the only connection to the rest of the world. This isolation and being surrounded by the sea takes a very central role in the plot. Without wanting to spoil anything I will leave it at that. But suffice to say the Pandaren will see plenty of action. As with all races, the Pandaren will have to decide which side of the two factions they will want to ally with – the Alliance and the Horde.
There are 7 different classes that players can choose from if they want to explore the world as a Pandaren; Hunter, Mage, Monk, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, and Warrior. Each class benefits from a number of race specific abilities.
- Epicurean – Benefits from food increased by 100%.
- Gourmand – +15 Cooking skill.
- Inner Peace – Double Rested Experience.
- Bouncy – Fall damage is reduced by 50%.
- Quaking Palm – Puts the enemy to sleep for 3 seconds.
