The Witcher 2 – Assassins of Kings: Guide to Romancing Triss Merigold
Well, “romancing” seems a little inaccurate here but for the purpose of this guide I will continue to refer to the tryst between Geralt and Triss Merigold as that. Quite early on into Act 1 you will get the opportunity to romance Triss. During the quest The Rose of Remembrance, she will offer to help you get your memory back, go with her to the Elven Ruins and retrieve the Rose of Remembrance.
Triss will make a potion from the roses so that you can get your memory back. As you make your way, with Triss, through the forest you need to make sure you avoid all the traps, and fight off enemies as needed obviously. Triss will point to the ruins once you get to the fountain, head to the ruins, you will find the roses there. By the statue of the Elven Lovers you will be ambushed by Elven Thugs. As you are in combat with these guys the ground will give way and you and Triss will fall into a bath tub. First try to break the wall by using the Aard sign. It won’t work, but then you can talk to Triss.
While you are talking to her, remember that you are trying to romance her when you chose your answer options. The characters are not complicated by any stretch of the imagination in The Witcher 2 so playing your cards right with her won’t be difficult. If you are successful you will end up in the water together, and the sex-scene will commence. Afterwards you will find that the Aard sign works and you will be able to break down the wall in order to leave. Vernan Roche lets you out so that you can go back to Flotsam.
