Minecraft: How to back up your world
Use this handy little trick to back up your world. You never know when you need to reload.
Your save directory for Minecraft differs based on your OS
For windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Keep in mind that the AppData directory is hidden. Go to Folder Options and select show hidden files

For Mac OS: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/minecraft
For Linux: /home/username/.minecraft
Make a copy of your “saves” folder for your back up.
