Batman – Arkham City: Shot in the Dark
When you have first finished Steel Mill, a man on a rooftop will seek your help. However, as these things go, he will be shot before he can tell you what he wants to say. With an Evidence Scanner, you can investigate the bullet hole. You can follow an orange trail to find the shooter. When you get to the end of the trail, scan a casing you find on the ground. This will help you identify the killer, who happens to be Deadshot.
There will be another victim. Deadshot will commit the crime east of the courthouse. The victim will be found above the political prison camp, on the highway’s broken part. The general location will be north of the search area. Scan the bullet hole, as with the previous victim. Then, as before, follow the orange trail. The trail will lead you through the water tower and then to a rooftop. A tripod is set on the rooftop. Scan it for clues on the killer’s location.
Unfortunately, there will be a third victim. Go to the search area’s western part. Behind a car, you will find a body. Scan the bullet hole as before. Follow the trail to Deadshot’s location, which is another crime scene. Scan bullet mark again. This trail will follow the killer. You will find an impression of the killer’s body. Scan it to obtain the final clue. You will earn the achievement, Forensics Expert (10G).
There are three substations revealed. Head to the substation near the GCPD. There, you can uncover the killer’s PDA by removing the substation access plate. Use the sequencer to hack the PDA to find out Deadshot’s next target. You have only three minutes to get to Ryder to prevent an assassination attempt. Once you are able to do that, you have to fight Deadshot. Deadshot can kill you with just one shot so avoid being seen by him. To get near him, use the low walls to hide. Get into the vent system just beneath Deadpool. This way, you can take a shot at him from below. If you defeat Deadshot, you will earn Contract Terminated (25G) as an achievement and the Deadshot character trophy.
