Batman – Arkham City: Retrieve The Cure From Joker
Go back to the Steel Mill for another confrontation with the Joker. Keep an eye out for snipers taking pot shots at you since he has beefed up security since the start of the game. The chimney entrance won’t work this time, you’ll have to go through the front door. You have to beat down two guards by the door. Sneak in before their heartbeat monitoring devices alert them. Take them out after you sneak in.
Fight the three enemies after you round the corner. The game will ask you if you’d like to try out your new Freeze Blast on these guys. Keep in mind that there’s a Titan container close by for you to blow up. If you keep blowing them up as they appear, this container will be the last available one. You can also grapple up a concrete wall close by that has a Riddler trophy. There will be a gap the platform will pass under – make sure to duck then grapple up the short wall then do another Freeze Blast so you can continue your way to the other side. Pull yourself up with the anchor points so you can get around the turbine that is located in the middle of the waterway. Once you reach the edge of the water, grapple to floor above.
Get in the area using the air vent nearby. Use the line launcher to go to the opposite ledge and get the Riddler Trophy located on the vent there. Get back on the first ledge and do a Glide Kick to get into the next room by smashing the window. You will have to beat an armored enemy here. You have to move quick since there’s a lockbox your enemies can use to retrieve guns from. Once you’ve beaten your opponents, go to the next door and get into Cooling Tunnel D.
Two-Face has a henchman you need to save here. Use stealth to take out the guards one by one. It’s harder to take them on both at once. If you rescue the henchman, make sure to knock him out first so he doesn’t fight you when he recovers. Pry open the hatch located next to where he drops off using your Batclaw. You’ll be able to later collect the Riddler Trophy located nearby. Once you blast the concrete wall, create another ice platform and pull yourself to the opposing side so you can circumvent the first turbines. Use the platform to float down the waterway and duck under the bulkhead, then pull yourself up to the path on the right to get past the turbines.
The ice will not get past here so you will have to use your line launcher to move past this point. Use the Freeze Blast to block any steam so you can crawl past these. Climb over the pipes and use an ice platform to get to the next platform. Throw a remote-controlled Batarang through the gap. Guide it to the electricity so it can pick up a charge. Turn around and go to the space close by and hit the fuse box. This will overload it and open your path ahead.
We passed up a trophy earlier. Now, it’s time to retrieve it. Throw your RC Batarang across the electricity field. Turn around and guide it to the torture room area, through the pipe and into the fuse box. Overload the fuse box. You might be able to recover the Batarang within a minute. Use an ice platform and go to the turbines then grapple up a ledge right when you reach the turbines. Right across the ledge will be a Catwoman Trophy. Hack the terminal located here to lower the drawbridge so you can gain entry. This will also open the door leading to the trophy you just unlocked. This also gets you the Mayor Quincy Sharp trophy.
Once you get to the other side of the bridge, hit the generator. Pull the mine cart out of the way and get the Riddler Trophy located underneath. Proceed down the hall, fight off your attackers, and an animated scene will be triggered. After this, you will arrive at the next room.
Next: Locate Joker in the Steel Mill
This room has mines. It is booby trapped. Be careful. At the vantage points, Batman will point to a certain enemy that has proximity mines. Every enemy is armed so eliminate them with stealth. Open a wall hatch using the Batclaw to retrieve another Riddler Trophy. Slide under the beams and press A so you can grab the Riddler Trophy as you pass. On the conveyor belt that is accessible via a vent, grapple up to the ledge and get another Riddler trophy. Exit using the double doors.
The next room is protected by a sniper. Grapple through the ceiling and enter the western room. There will be a conveyor belt that has empty boxes. Crouch into a box and ride until you get behind the sniper so you can easily take him out. Harley Quinn is bound to a beam. The beam is located at the end of the conveyor belt. Speak to her to unlock the side mission called Hot and Cold. Jump down to her rear onto the conveyor belt. Open the next room’s door. There are two trophies here – Riddler Trophy and Catwoman Trophy. They are located in the elevator which can be opened by hacking the terminal next to them.
Once you are at the next room, lure the guys to escape the snipers. Grapple up to them to take them out. You will see a Riddler Trophy here. Use Freeze Blast to block vent steam. Get the trophy through the grates. Answer the riddle. The riddle is “The more things change, the more they stay the same. What dummy said that?” The answer is in the snipers’ room – Harley Quinn’s Arkham Asylum Outfit. It will unlock Arkham City Story – A sick plan (2 of 3). Follow the arrows to get to the door.
A large number of guys waiting to beat you to a pulp will be on a train. The train will continue to go down the tracks and will mow you down if you don’t get out of its way. The arrows will become red before the train proceeds. In addition to regular grunts, there will be a Titan-infected henchman and the one armed guy with a hammer. Knock everyone down first before trying to take out Joker. Don’t waste your time trying to take Joker out, the henchmen will be too strong. Use group attacks like explosive gel to take out as many enemies at one time. Use the REC to make the hammer attacks turn on his allies. Super stun the TITAN and get on his back to control him. Once you’ve taken everyone out, you get the Ghost Train (25G). If you have installed the Catwoman DLC, episode 3 will start here.
