Madden NFL 12: Getting started – setting audibles
Setting up audibles always frustrates many fans of Madden. It is quite a hassle offline and especially irritating if you play online. You have to do these before each game. In online play, you have to put the game on pause, set your audibles while your opponents sets his. Talk about a killjoy. You’re all excited and raring to go but you have to pause for several minutes to set audibles. Simply put, doing audibles on the fly sucks. Thankfully, there’s a way to dispense with this hassle altogether – set audibles through your profile. If you do this, you’ll be joining the mere 10% of players who are smart enough to sidestep audible setup hassles. Here’s how you do it:
Go to the Madden main menu. Select the “My Madden” tab. Click it and move down to “Strategy.” You will see a list of options. Click “Offensive Audibles.” You can also select defensive audibles from here. Be sure to pick the playbook you most commonly use since the audible settings will only apply for the particular playbook you use for the game. For example: if you usually play the Denver Broncos playbook, you will need to choose that playbook to get its audible pre-sets

Set the five audibles that correspond to the (in the case of the Xbox 360) Y, A, X, RB, and LB buttons. Once you have completed setting your offensive audibles, use the RB button to set the defensive audibles. When you’ve completed the audible settings, save them.
From now on, regardless of whatever team you choose, you won’t have to waste time with audibles settings. Just make sure to pick the right playbook.
