Dark Souls: How to Beat the Capra Demon
Let’s face it, the Capra Demon boss is going to be very challenging. He attacks you immediately after you enter the Fog Door. Your goal is simple – make it to the stairs on the left. You will have to move quick and have your shield up as you try to do this. The Capra Demon will hit you and the dogs will attack you. You have to immaculately time your roll to the left to escape the boss’ attacks. Not very easy.
Expect to die quite a lot while trying to get past this boss. This is the time to efficiently make use of your firelink shrine shortcut. This is located right by the White Light. Go up the stairs and keep an eye on your left when you see the Thief.
The room will be very narrow, this is a good thing. Use it to your advantage. Go up to the enemies and slay one of them or all the dogs before the boss starts following you.
Get to the top of the stairs and get to the top part of the archway. If you get up here, the Capra Demon will try to land some hits on you. He will eventually drop down. This will give you an opportunity to do a lunging air attack on him for greater damage.
Remember to keep your shield raised at all times. When he falls down, take out the dogs, then lure him up the stairs, wait for him to fall, and do a drop down attack for higher damage. Be ready when he attacks you with a two handed assault. If you have a full life meter, you’ll survive this and you’ll get a chance to heal.
The key is to get past those narrow corridors. After that point, the boss becomes easy. Just don’t let him take you out quickly in the initial phase of this stage.
