Mario Kart 7: Turbo Boost At Start Of Race

Mario Kart 7 has proved, as we all knew it would to be a really great success. But getting that all important head start can really give you the advantage over your opponents. One little handy tip for getting ahead in the race takes place even before the race has begun, giving you just such an advantage.

In Mario Kart 7, you can get a turbo boost at the start of the race by not holding down the acceleration button yet before the countdown starts. Wait for the countdown to fall just after the number 2. You will see the number 2 disappear. After that, hold down either the A or Y button. If you do this right, you will get that immediate turbo boost as the race starts allowing you to sprint forwards before any of your opponents have hit the virtual gas. Just make sure you keep the advantage through the race.
