Kid Icarus – Uprising: Get to Grips with the Weaponry before you Begin
Don’t dismiss the benefite of good preperation before you begin playing a game. Even a game such as Kid Icarus – Uprising on the 3DS. The games has a surprising arsenal, and you will need to be able to pick the best weapon to suit the situation and use it to destroy any foe.
Firstly Blades. The stalwart of any fantasy game, and Kid Icarus – Uprising is no exception. Bladed weaponry can be used both for long and short distance attacks and can be combined with fire-power to really cause some damage. For melee fighting you can use Clubs, Claws and your own Arms. Clubs are heavy and you will lose speed as a result, claws actually increase Pit’s agility, so they are a really useful tool against light-footed enemies. Using your arms may not be the most effective attack but there are also no disadvantages. You ability to move will not be affected.
For long distance attacks, Staffs, Bows, and Orbitars are recommended. Staffs and bows are good for sniping enemies from a concealed position. Orbitars gain in power the longer the distance. You can nerf multiple enemies at once with this chain of magical projectiles. Finally, the last major category of weapon are the Palms. These magical conjurations are not the most accurate of weapons acting like napalm and torching everything it touches. Great for those of you who are hopeless at aiming. Pit creates these powerful energy bolts in his hand.
